Privacy policy
Last updatedThis policy explains what personal data Kodika Tech Group, trading as Kodika Labs, collects through this website and by email, why we collect it, and the rights you have under the Data Protection Act, 2019 of Kenya.
Who we are
Kodika Tech Group ("Kodika Labs", "we", "us") is a company registered in Kenya on 20 October 2026. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us about anything in it at [email protected].
What we collect
This website has no accounts, no forms, and no analytics or advertising trackers.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to write or attach.
Why we use it
We use technical data only to run and secure the website. We use what you send by email to reply to you, to prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and to deliver and invoice any work we agree to do together.
We process this data because it is necessary for those purposes: to take steps you ask for before entering into a contract, to perform a contract, to comply with our legal obligations, and for our legitimate interest in running a secure business, as the Data Protection Act, 2019 allows.
How long we keep it
We keep email correspondence for as long as we need it for the purpose it was sent, and project and financial records for as long as Kenyan law requires, including tax record-keeping rules. We then delete or anonymise it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host and email provider, with professional advisers where needed, and with authorities when the law requires it.
Some of these providers, including Cloudflare, process data outside Kenya. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the Data Protection Act, 2019 requires for transfers outside Kenya.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to be told how your data is used, to access the data we hold about you, to object to its processing, to have false or misleading data corrected or deleted, and to receive your data in a portable format where the Act provides for it.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (odpc.go.ke).
Security
The site is served only over encrypted connections and with strict browser security settings. We limit access to personal data to the people who need it to do their work.
Children
This website is meant for businesses and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, for example by adding a contact form or analytics, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
